Quack Exposed: Rashid Buttar

Dr. Rashid Buttar is an American Osteopathic doctor. He is Pakistani by ancestry. Buttar was born on January 20, 1966 in England. He is married to Debbie Buttar. Buttar earned his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis with a double major in biology and theology. He attended graduate school and graduated from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines.

Buttar is trained in general surgery and emergency medicine. He served as a Brigade Surgeon for the 2nd Infantry Division, Republic of South Korea, and Chief of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Moncrief Army Community Hospital.

Buttar is certified in Clinical Metal Toxicology, Preventative Medicine, is board eligible in Emergency Medicine (not board certified) and has achieved fellowship status in 3 medical societies.

Buttar has been more of a conspiracy theorist and advocate of the anti vaxxer movement. With his quackery, he has targeted autism, COVID 19 and more. He has been connected to many famous names in the anti vax movement. He has spoken at Autism One.

He currently practices in Charlotte, NC where he is the medical director of Advanced Concepts in Medicine, The Center for Advanced Medicine and Clinical Research. He practices in a toxin approach.

Said He does not Care if People Die

In an interview he said that he does not lose sleep if something he says causes someone to die.

When he was asked what would happen if something he says causes someone to die, he said,”If I’m wrong, so be it.”

COVID 19

On April 20, 2020, Buttar did a video interview for The Next News Network. This is a conspiracy theory Youtube channel that is known for pushing false claims. This interview is called “Exclusive: Dr. Rashid Buttar Blasts Gates, Fauchi, Exposes Fake Pandemic Numbers as Economy Collapses.”

False claims in the interview:

nobody has yet demonstrated a single death from the actual virus
the number of deaths are still less than the seasonal flu
the death count was being inflated
there is fake activity at hospitals
studies clearly show that if you’ve had a flu shot, you will test positive for COVID 19.
says that Fauci is a criminal. Said he is a traitor and suggested that hydroxychloroquine is 99% in treating COVID 19
The pandemic is a false flag event to then mandate vaccines
People are being quarantined like in some kind of concentration camp
5g towers and chemtrails were related to the virus
Increasing vaccines and 5g would cause people to become more sick
Bill Gates will monitor future vaccines by putting RF chips in people to see who has had the vaccine as a part of a cycle they’re going to keep on going over and over again until they’ve got everybody digitized and they have RF chips in everyone.

Anti Vax Movement

Del Bigtree wanted to attend the event in person to support the conference organizer’s desire to “make a statement that we are not afraid of this and that we stand in the real science.”

Judy Mikovits is a discredited doctor who recently released a conspiracy theory documentary called “Plandemic.” The 20 minute film was taken down by Youtube. She was slated to be a featured speaker. It is unknown if she showed up to the event.

Embassy Suites, where the event took place, called the police on the conference for not complying with COVID mandates. This mandate was in the form of an executive order by the Governor. Buttar stated,”Mass gatherings do not include gatherings for health and safety, to look for and obtain goods and services, for work, for worship or exercise of the First Amendment RIghts, or for receiving governmental services.”

The manager stated,”We were in constant touch with this professional organization about changing COVID guidelines leading up to their arrival, yet they still chose to have their group meeting and agreed to the terms about number of people allowed in each room. On Saturday, when it became clear their attendees were not respecting social distancing requirements, we called CMPD to help us enforce it, which they did. The safety of all hotel guests is always our priority, even more so during the COVID 19 crisis.”

In the PBS special “The Vaccine War” Buttar appears with JB Handley, Jenny McCarthy, Jim Carrey, Andrew Wakefield, Robert F Kennedy Jr.

Dystonia

In February of 2010, an ambassador of the Washington Redskins (it’s the name of the team, I don’t use the word) cheerleading squad had claimed that she developed dystonia after receiving a flu vaccine. She said it caused dramatic spasms and slurred speech.

A report by the Centers for Disease Control states,”The admitting neurologist felt that there was a strong psychogenic component” to her symptoms. There was a psychological cause for her spasms and speech slurring. “The dramatic symptoms of movement and speech that Miss Jennings has been displaying are certainly not a reaction to a vaccine.”

Dystonia is a condition with no cure. She claims that Buttar reversed many of her symptoms in less than 48 hours. Allegedly he cured her by using the hyperbaric oxygen chamber, IV injections of nutrients, chelation and synthetic amino acids (basic units of protein).

Dystonia is a neurological condition that causes excessive, involuntary muscle contractions. These muscle contractions result in abnormal muscle movements and body postures, making it difficult for people to control their movements. Some can be painful. Dystonia can affect the eyelids, face, jaw, neck, vocal cords, torso, limbs, hands and feet. It looks different from person to person.

Dystonia is caused by birth injury, certain infections, reactions to certain drugs, heavy metal or carbon monoxide poisoning. The flu vaccine do not cause dystonia.

Autism

Buttar believes that “autism is nothing more than mercury toxicity. . . vaccine ingredients are toxic.” He inaccurately claims that the current rate of autism is 1 in 29 and falsy cites the CDC for the statistic. CDC reports 1 in 54.

There have been many studies worldwide that have shown that vaccines have no relationship with autism.

The claim that vaccines cause autism is based on the myth that thimerosal in vaccines leads to mercury toxicity. This claim is not supported by scientific evidence.

There is no nickel or “DNA adducts” present in vaccines. Nickel is not used in any vaccine formulations. Buttar offers no evidence for his claim. DNA adducts are short segments of DNA to which a cancer causing chemical can bind to. The claim that DNA adducts are present has been made before and there is no evidence supporting it.

Buttar has promoted chelation therapy and hyperbaric oxygen as a treatment for autism based on the basis that vaccines have heavy metals in them. It has been repeatedly disproven.

Cancer

Buttar promotes chelation for cancer. Cancer is not caused by vaccines. Buttar believes that most patients with cancer also have high levels of heavy metals such as mercury and other toxins such as pesticides because of environmental exposure. His cancer therapy costs between $40,000 and 60,000 for two months. He does not accept insurance. Some of the treatment he uses are IV hydrogen peroxide and EDTA.

Reprimanded by NCMB

In 2010, Buttar accepted a reprimand and agreed with the medical board to ask his patients to sign a form that states that his practice is not mainstream. He has been under the scrutiny of the North Carolina Medical Board for over a decade. Buttar denied allegations that he exploited patients by price gouging for unproven therapies and ordering expensive tests to make more money.

He was again reprimanded in 2019 for unethical behavior. The board states in a 10 page document that his cancer treatments were “wholly unproven and wholly ineffective.” He had ordered numerous tests that “were never adequately justified” but were used to raise costs. The board also states that he made false representations about the effectiveness of his treatments.

Because of disciplinary actions in NC, he was denied a medical license in Hawaii.

Sued for Fraud

Vincy Tidwell Jr sued Butar for fraud. Buttar claims that “detoxification” and other therapies treat cancer and other diseases. Tidwell’s complaint says that through advertisements and other means, Buttar represented that he could help cancer patients. After being diagnosed elsewhere with prostate cancer, he saw Buttar in 2004 and was treated with chelation, dietary supplements and many other questionable treatments over the course of two years. His states that Buttar violated North Carolina’s Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act. This law permits awards of triple damages. The total of the bills were $150,000.

Warning Letter from the FDA

Buttar has even received a warning letter from the FDA. It was not for the treatments he was pushing but housekeeping for his lab. He did not test drugs adequately according to federal regulations.

Rashid Buttar Has Died

Buttar has died in May a few days after he claimed that he was being poisoned. He said he was given poison that contained “200 times of what was in the vaccine.”
